How Does CEREC® Technology Work?
After he removes a thin layer of enamel to make room for the restoration, Dr. Hardt uses the CEREC® scanner to capture detailed images of the tooth and surrounding areas. The machine uses these impressions to create a precise 3D model of your mouth on the computer screen.
With the help of specialized software, we design the restoration digitally and send the results to a milling machine, where a high-quality ceramic block is sculpted to match the specifications.
You will end up with a custom-made restoration that mimics your natural teeth, all achieved in one visit.
Uses for CEREC® Technology
Same-Day Dental Restorations
With CEREC®, we create personalized dental crowns, veneers, and bridges to restore damaged or decayed teeth in one appointment.
We use CEREC® to take digital impressions of your mouth, eliminating the need for traditional molds. Our intraoral scanner captures detailed images of your teeth and gums and makes accurate 3D models for designing your restorations.
Image-Guided Treatment Planning
CEREC® technology enables us to plan and visualize your treatment and customize it to get the best results.
How Long Do CEREC® Restorations Last?
When you take good care of them and keep up with regular dental checkups, CEREC® restorations can stay strong and durable for many years, just like traditional dental treatments.
Remember to brush and floss regularly and visit your dentist every six months to make sure your restorations stay in great shape.
